Job Title
General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.
Under general supervision, this position will:
- Understand, apply, and ensure implementation and conformance to the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, and procedures across all well intervention and production subsurface maintenance operations.
- Interact daily with Production Operators, contractors and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of the planned well intervention. Attend preliminary meetings to ensure a safe and efficient well intervention.
- Responsible for the supervision of contractors and vendors to ensure effective operation of low complexity well intervention and subsurface maintenance procedures without compromising safety and environmental requirements. Provide feedback on contractors to Well Intervention Supervisor.
- Responsible for completion of the assigned well intervention job as well as the follow up internal documentation and reporting. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to well intervention and production operations.
- Provide a debrief or summary to the Supervisor regarding review of vendors' field performance, safety, service quality, and operational performances.
- Basic maintenance of Company owned or rented well intervention related equipment including compressors, Echometer, downhole tools, gauges, etc.
- Rig-up/down, and spotting of Company owned or rented well intervention equipment.
- Operation of Company production equipment as needed to support well intervention tasks such as separators, well head valves, tanks, compressors, pumps, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)
High School Diploma or equivalent. At least three (3) years of Oil & Gas Well Intervention or related field experience.
Core competencies list and describe the required factors (i.e. knowledge, skills, abilities, software programs), that are needed for this role.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, etc. Basic knowledge or ability to learn of production operations, well construction and maintenance, and subsurface well configurations and conditions. Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise low complexity well intervention tasks. Able to utilize wellview to report daily summaries of activities and cost. Review and approve vendor invoices up to the approval limit. Ability to build relationships and foster teamwork by working cooperatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain positive working relationships, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance operational efficiency. Exhibits ethical behavior and business practices. Ensure own and others behavior are consistent with these standards and align with the values of the Company. Able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and handle multiple tasks. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with others internally and externally. Good attention to detail, problem solving, and follow up skills. Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures. Possess or working toward obtaining an International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) or International Well Control Forum (IWCF) Supervisory level Well Control current certification.
Safety Sensitive Related
Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools. Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures. Possess valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company's Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Both Office and Field Related: Job is performed in both the office and in the field work environment. Approximately 20% in the office and 80% in the field. This position may be subject to: Exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Extreme Cold and Heat: temperatures typically below 32oF or above 100oF for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions as wind, rain, snow, and humidity. Noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Vibration: exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. Confined Space: work areas large enough for individual to enter, limited means of entry or exit, and not designed for continue occupancy. Hazards: includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, combustibles, explosives, etc.
Hours / Shifts
Regular business hours.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Minimally lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. Minimally be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc. Usual field site/location visits may present more strenuous exertion than office work. Minimal amount of traversing through challenging terrain to perform work, evaluate sites and conditions, inspect equipment/assets, etc.
Travel
Minimal travel may be required to other locations. Frequent travel to Company's field operations and/or offices. Approximately 80% of time in field.
