The Transplant Coordinator functions as a nurse in an expanded role. Coordinates all potential transplant patient evaluations. Serves as liaison with the transplant team, nephrologists, consulting services, dialysis facilities, dietitians, and social workers as they involve pre-transplant patients. Coordinates and presents all preoperative teaching and scheduling for recipients and living donors. Coordinates flow of patients on UNOS waiting list with OPO. Available on-call for recipient donor calls.

Travel to Wichita, KS and Springfield, MO. once a month is required for this role. 

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital. Our hospital offers an array of medical and health clinic services. This includes women‘s services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center.
