Manager, Network Planning (P4)

Position Summary:DHL currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Network Planning Manager. The Network Planning Manager performs analytical work to support the various business needs of the DHL Express Air and Linehaul Networks. The Business Analyst prepares, analyzes, and reports data to improve the utilization of the DHL Express Air and Linehaul Network movements.Duties and Responsibilities:Develops holiday network operations plans to support supplemental network capacity requirements, as well as reduction in capacity based on utilization forecastWorks collaboratively with cross-functional (hub, gateway, field operations, etc.) stakeholders to review, modify, and implement holiday plansMonitors effectiveness of holiday plans and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into future holiday plansDevelops statistical forecasts to project future network capacity requirements and communicates requirements to impacted stakeholdersAnalyzes statistical data and prepares analysis to review and support proposed Aviation network changesAbility to work autonomously and provide recommendations to improve service quality and load factors with cost considerationSummarizes findings to present to management in the form of Network Change Requests and/or Business Case Analysis using defined business rules and processesProduces reports for management that draw data from various sources to aid in tracking business unit objectivesDevelops and follows appropriate processes and procedures for accomplishing workTakes part in various departmental projects and processesMay assist in training efforts for assigned DHL business unit, including the deployment of network toolsMay provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less-experienced network planning professionalsQualifications:Seasoned professional. Concerned with problems that have a direct and important effect on business programs and results.
