Location: 61 Hawks Cay Blvd, Marathon, FL 33050, USA Description The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and polishing the restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers and elevators in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Skills Clean restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers and elevators, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, straightening furniture and decor, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, and removing waste. Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash from guest rooms. Remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors. Obtain amenities and supplies for room attendants. Turn mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor. Respond to guest questions and provide assistance, directions, and information as requested. Provide instruction and guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations. Support the department in any area that will maintain building and guest service standards. Assist shampooers with the relocation of furniture. Report suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Safety/Security department. Be ready to step in and support coworkers and the team as needed to ensure efficient operation. Perform special assignments and projects as requested. Attend meetings and training as required by management. Qualifications Experience working in a hotel is preferable.
