Seasonal Bus Driver – Summer Camp (CDL Class B w/ Passenger Endorsement Required)

Location: Rapid City, SD
Pay: $18.35 - $21.00 per hour DOE
Job Type: Seasonal (Summer)
Schedule: Day shifts | May–August (flexible start available)

As one of the first and last faces our campers see each day, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, positive, and fun summer experience. More than just transporting campers from one location to another, you'll help ensure that every child begins and ends their day feeling welcomed, valued, and excited to be part of camp.

In this role, you'll safely transport campers and staff to and from camp locations, field trips, and special activities throughout the summer. You'll perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate transportation records, and ensure all YMCA and transportation safety standards are followed. Most importantly, you'll help create a safe and enjoyable environment for every camper in your care.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety above all else, and enjoys interacting with children and families. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, professional, and understands the important responsibility that comes with transporting young people.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement. A clean driving record, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations are essential. Previous experience driving buses or transporting groups is preferred but not required.
