Job Description

*Candidate MUST be your OWN COMPANY'S W2 and not a 1099 contractor or sub-contractor as the State allows sub-vendor 1 level deep only.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Oracle PL/SQL development (packages, procedures, functions) (8+ years)
\n
• Use of Oracle development tools such as Toad or SQL Developer (8+ years)
\n
• Designing, creating, and maintaining Oracle database objects (8+ years)
\n
• Logical and physical data modeling; database normalization (8+ years)
\n
• Data analysis, data quality, and metadata (8+ years)
\n
• Developing and integrating web services (SOAP and/or REST) (8+ years)
\n
• Database programming for data migration and data conversion (8+ years)
\n
• Experience supporting or integrating vendor hosted or COTS systems
\n
• EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Design, develop, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, constraints) to support application and integration requirements.
\n
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions to support business logic, data services, and ETL processes.
\n
• Support data design and modeling activities, including logical and physical data models and normalization.
\n
• Lead and execute data migration and data conversion tasks for new implementations, upgrades, and system integrations.
\n
• Develop and consume web services (SOAP/REST) used in data integrations between internal systems and vendor hosted COTS solutions.
\n
• Analyze data and metadata to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with agency standards.
\n
• Work closely with Data Architects and DBAs on performance tuning, code reviews, and database best practices.
\n
• Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
\n
• Participate in planning, estimation, documentation, and technical design sessions for both new projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.
\n

Assignment duration: 1 year with extension likely

Position location: Lansing, MI ( HYBRID : Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days)
