Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescent and geriatric patients within an inpatient psychiatric facility. This role requires a strong background in adolescent psychiatric care and proficiency in de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee clinical activities within the assigned unit(s).
• Implement the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing.
• Formulate and monitor budgets including capital, personnel, and operating expenses.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Supervise employees to ensure quality care delivery.
• Plan and coordinate orientation and educational needs of nursing staff.
• Maintain positive interdisciplinary relationships and effective public relations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Previous inpatient adolescent psychiatric experience required.
• De-escalation training/certification is necessary; attendance at onsite SAFE Training Course is an option.
• BLS certification required.
