About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery License: Active RN license Certifications: - AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) - CEFM - ACLS - BLS - NRP Must-Have: - 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience - Advanced skills in care of the laboring patient - Care of the newborn immediately after delivery - Ability to circulate and recover C-section patients Description: This position involves working in a Labor & Delivery unit with a total of 12 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Staff includes RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs. Documentation is done using CPN and Meditach systems. Shifts consist of 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift for RNs. Floating policy indicates that travelers will float first as needed. Candidates must possess required certifications listed above. Key procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, cerclage, and administering epidural anesthesia. Scrubs must be provided by the employee, with acceptable colors being Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray.
