Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Base pay range $50.00/hr - $64.00/hr Senior Creative & Technical Recruiter at Cypress HCM In this high-visibility role, you’ll support Director- and VP-level leadership by delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strong financial guidance. You will own key aspects of forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, and headcount planning—making a direct impact on the success of our R&D organization. Responsibilities Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the Long-Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan. Drive accurate forecasting through quarterly updates and monthly rolling OPEX forecasts for R&D. Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries (accruals, reclasses, and R&D tax credit items) and ensure accuracy of CDG R&D financials. Reporting & Variance Analysis: Create and maintain reports to explain financial performance, delivering actionable insights through variance analysis. Headcount Management: Maintain the hiring funnel, providing a rolling forecast of headcount and employee-related expenses. Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis for business partners with minimal supervision. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 6+ years of FP&A experience; multinational public company experience required (Big Four background strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of GAAP, with expertise in accruals, pre-payments, and P&L impact Proficiency in SAP and Oracle EPM strongly preferred; advanced Excel skills required Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to “tell the story” behind the data and advise business partners Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Finance and Accounting/Auditing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cypress HCM by 2x We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
