Traveling Superintendent

We are partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor specializing in high-end tenant improvement and ground-up construction projects across the western half of the United States.

Position Overview

The Traveling Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations across multiple commercial project types
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and field personnel
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within quality standards
  • Maintain job site safety and enforce OSHA compliance
  • Review plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Conduct site meetings and communicate progress updates with project stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively resolve field issues and scheduling conflicts
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and project documentation
  • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts

Qualifications Required

  • Experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Background in:
  • Tenant improvements (TI)
  • Ground-up construction
  • Retail and/or commercial projects
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the western U.S.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
  • Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain strong job site communication

Preferred

  • Experience with luxury retail, restaurants, fuel stations, or industrial projects
  • OSHA certification
  • Proficiency with construction management software and project scheduling tools
