On the ground, dnata USA keeps 27 of the country’s major airports connected – both with each other and the world – including John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City. Handling 200,000 tonnes of cargo, guiding 15,000,000 passengers and keeping 50,000 flights in the air each year, the work that the dnata USA team completes on the ground is crucial to keeping the country in the air. Essential Functions of the Dispatcher Distribute incoming air traffic information to pilots/ground handlers. Follow up with update information as received. Communicate flight release and fuel load information to appropriate operations. Maintain lines of communication with line operations and air carriers using two‑way radios. Coordinate operations with the airline and ground handlers. Maintain flight logs and update flight schedules. Coordinate with departments in billing for services rendered and compile information for each flight and submit for final bill preparation. Make arrangements for accommodation when flight delays occur. Handle phone traffic. Assist in the planning and control of the gate assignment. Assist with passenger services as required. Recommend weight and balance preparation in accordance with airline requirements. Can meet the Station's attendance standards. Qualifications 1+ years of Airport Dispatch experience preferred. Possess/maintain a valid state driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be able to pass SIDA airport and training tests. Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Possess basic computer literacy.
