Insurance Litigation Attorney (CA License Required) - Remote

Job Title: Insurance Litigation Attorney (CA License Required) – Remote Location: Remote (United States, except Hawaii and Alaska) Responsibilities Independently handle an inventory of litigated and non‑litigated files. Advise and mentor less‑senior attorneys. Apply independent analysis and judgment to prepare discovery, legal pleadings, trial briefs, etc., with close coordination from claims specialists. Appear and advocate on behalf of CSAA IG and member insureds. Conduct all phases of personal injury litigation, including jury trials, motions, and arbitration hearings. Manage complex legal matters or projects, including non‑litigation issues. Identify high‑liability or special‑circumstance issues and refer to higher‑level staff for review or additional resources. Travel as needed for depositions, mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, arbitrations, and trials. Qualifications 5–8+ years of experience in insurance defense practice with courtroom and first‑ or second‑chair trial experience. Active California State Bar license in good standing. Ability to collaborate with assigned paralegal(s) and support staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and online research tools. Ability to advocate creatively, persuasively, and effectively, and to act independently in the client’s best interest. Knowledge of legal ethics.
