In this role, you will serve as a senior individual contributor, owning end-to-end quality engineering efforts across enterprise Java and .NET applications. You will apply advanced testing strategies, automation frameworks, AI-enabled tools, and intelligent automation solutions to improve product quality, accelerate delivery, and reduce operational risk.Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and technology leaders throughout the software development lifecycle. You will design and execute test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing while expanding automated test coverage using Selenium and RestAssured.You will also leverage AI tools to accelerate test case creation, defect analysis, and documentation, while building AI-driven solutions that streamline quality engineering workflows and improve testing efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact application reliability, release confidence, and the delivery of innovative technology solutions that support Schwab clients and business teams.What you haveRequired Qualifications:5+ years of quality assurance, software testing, or quality engineering experience supporting Java and/or .NET applicationsHands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium for UI testingHands-on experience performing API test automation using RestAssuredExperience designing and executing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test strategiesWorking knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) concepts and frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlowExperience writing, reviewing, and maintaining Gherkin scenarios and BDD-based test coverageDemonstrated experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve testing efficiency and quality outcomesExperience building, contributing to, or supporting AI-driven agents or intelligent automation solutions for QA workflowsStrong understanding of RESTful API testing, database validation, and multi-tier application architecturesExperience troubleshooting complex software defects and conducting root cause analysisExperience working independently within Agile and Scrum delivery environmentsStrong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or GatlingExperience integrating automated testing into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelinesISTQB certification or equivalent quality assurance credentialExperience working within financial services, regulated industries, or high-availability technology environmentsAgile and/or SAFe experienceExperience supporting cloud-based applications and modern software delivery practicesIn addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.Job SummaryRequisition ID: 2026-125513Posted Date: 22 hours ago(8/20/2026 9:22 AM)Category: Engineering & Software DevelopmentSalary Range: USD $93,500.00 - $135,000.00 / YearApplication deadline: 8/27/2026Position Type: Full time
