Growing together.The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for successful diagnostic of patients for the radiologist. This also includes creating a tranquil environment, so patients will be able to adhere to examination instructions.Primary Responsibilities:Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all imagesDemonstrate competency performing all mammographic procedures and the operation of all related equipmentGreet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer systemObtain mammographic images according to guidelinesMaintain logs; process paperwork for biopsiesUtilize sterile techniques preventing contaminationMaintain quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulationsAll clinical aspects of mammography suite; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic suppliesAssists in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years Maintain CPR certificationObserve patient vital signs during examinationProvide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call outs or extended patient schedules)Provide instruction/mentoring to new hiresProvide a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirementsMaintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other personsOther duties as assigned by managerYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certifiedDiagnostic Mammography certified unless new grad, then 180 days contingent for certificationElectronic medical records experiencePreferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologistEPIC EMR experiencePhysical Requirements:Standing and walking for extended periods of timeAble to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 poundsAble to lift patients weighting up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for operation of equipmentEyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed filmsCore customers and key relationships:PatientsPatients Families and FriendsPhysicians and Other Medical StaffExternal Medical PartnersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment.
