About the Position

Enterprise Medical is partnering with Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, which is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Residency Program Director to join their team.

Position Highlights:

• Leadership opportunity to build and shape a brand-new Internal Medicine residency program
• Ability to define the program's vision, curriculum, and culture from the ground up
• Program launch in 2027 with a manageable size (18 residents; 6 per class)
• Supported by an established GME infrastructure with existing Emergency Medicine and Transitional Year programs
• Significant role in the recruitment and selection of residents and faculty leadership
• Active involvement in teaching, mentorship, and academic development (lectures, M&M, journal club, etc.)
• Opportunity to mentor and develop future physicians with direct impact
• Hands-on leadership in ensuring high-quality training aligned with ACGME standards
