Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Hematology/Oncology Registered Nurse for a pediatric unit specializing in Hem/Onc and BMT care. The role involves providing top-quality patient care across multiple units, including Med Surg, PICU, and NICU, with flexibility to float as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric Hem/Onc and BMT patients in a pediatric hospital setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses.
• Adjust staffing assignments based on patient acuity and unit needs, including potential float to General Pediatrics, PICU, and NICU.
• Maintain compliance with nicotine-free policies and complete required documentation within specified timeframes.
• Ensure all licensing, labs, and credential verifications are completed before scheduled shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Compact or GA RN license in good standing at the time of submittal.
• Experience with Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant units preferred.
• PALS certification (AHA only) required.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is preferred.
• Must sign within 24 hours of offer, with labs and license verification completed within designated timeframes.
• BSN degree preferred; first-time travelers accepted if skills meet requirements.
