Registered Nurse

This position requires a registered nurse with experience in orthopedics. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and aware of a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and absences. The role involves providing care for adult and geriatric orthopedic patients, as well as medical-surgical patients. Telemetry monitoring is available in this unit. A physical therapy gym is on-site, allowing for adequate patient therapy without leaving the unit. High volume patient populations include those who have undergone total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Moderate volume patients include those recovering from other surgical procedures and medical patients under observation. RNs will be required to work Charge RN shifts as necessary. Every other weekend availability is required. Float may be required as needed. Candidates should be familiar with accessing and managing various medical devices and procedures relevant to orthopedic and telemetry care. All RNs must pass a required EKG exam as part of the compliance process. Study materials for the exam are not provided. Compliance requires a complete file to be submitted by the specified deadline. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialized teams to assist with patient care. The patient care unit accommodates a range of orthopedic and medical-surgical diagnoses, including total joint replacements and fracture repairs. Candidates must have experience managing a patient ratio of 5-6.
