Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior corporate associate to join its team in New York. The successful candidate will have experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic support for start-ups and venture capital firms. This role involves significant client interaction and collaboration with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and venture fund partners.

Duties

• Provide legal counsel to early-stage entrepreneurs.
• Represent companies and venture funds in financing rounds and M&A.
• Engage in investor-side financing in growth equity rounds.
• Collaborate with clients in the start-up and venture capital ecosystem.

Requirements

• JD from 2023 - 2024.
• Previous experience in a large law firm.
• Admitted or eligible to waive into the State Bar of New York.
• Experience in M&A, venture capital, and growth equity financing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Admitted to the State Bar of New York or eligible for waiver.

Skills

• Proven experience in corporate law.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable with significant client interaction.
