Production Assembler

Join our team as a Production Assembler, where your precision and skill will be integral to creating high-quality electric motor components. You will perform wire-to-wire and wire-to-lead electrical connections, solder and insulate components, shape and lace motor coils, and ensure each product meets aerospace manufacturing tolerances. This role requires following electrical assembly standards and quality procedures, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and utilizing basic computer systems for inventory and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform wire-to-wire and wire-to-lead electrical connections.
• Solder and insulate components.
• Shape and lace motor coils.
• Follow electrical assembly standards and quality procedures.
• Inspect parts to meet aerospace manufacturing tolerances.
• Follow written work instructions and quality procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Use basic computer systems for inventory and documentation.

Essential Skills:

• Assembly skills.
• Proficiency in soldering.
• Experience in electronic assembly.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Understanding of mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read schematics.
• General labor skills.
• Electrical inspection skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6+ months experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Experience with soldering, wiring, or electrical components.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (J-STD-001, J-STD-001ES, IPC-A-610) is a plus.
• Preferred experience: 1+ year in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• 1+ year with soldering, wiring, or electrical components.
• Experience with IPC Standards (J-STD-001, J-STD-001ES, IPC-A-610).

Work Environment:

Work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with a team-oriented culture. Enjoy a supportive environment where everyone pitches in to help others. Join a team of 10-15 members within each department, contributing to a total workforce of about 100 employees. Work hours are from 5:30am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday. Adhere to safety protocols with a dress code that includes close-toed shoes, eye protection, and gloves.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
