DC Supervisor- Weekend Shift(Job Number: 2600008M)DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Distribution Center Supervisor will be responsible for evaluating daily operations requirements, which will include reporting, staffing and productivity. Provide performance feedback and direction to assigned hourly Associates. Responsible for interviewing Distribution Center Associates, writing and delivering appraisals, and developing career paths for direct reports. Ensure the appropriate daily scheduling of associates to meet departmental and building goals.INTERACTION:Required with:Reports to Logistics Department ManagerDistribution Center leadership team - Department Managers, Operations Managers, Directors, DVP, VPBealls Distribution Center Support Partners - Transportation, Technology, Human Resources, Safety, MaintenanceCorporate center business partnersSUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions):Evaluate daily operations requirements and ensure the appropriate daily scheduling of resources to meet productivity, accuracy and service goalsMaintain presence within assigned Department to be available for questions from associates and provide direction and feedbackInterview, select and oversee talent management of a diverse range of AssociatesProvide direct, daily supervision of department Associates by appropriately staffing, prioritizing work, assigning tasks and scheduling personnelDuring each shift, review and react appropriately to reporting, staffing and productivity to ensure goals are achievedMaintain workplace safety standards in a clean and orderly environmentEstablish goals for the department and communicate effectively to ensure that Associates understand what is expectedPrioritize tasks based on merchandise aging, flow and production capacityCreate and maintain a positive work environment through continual motivation and engagement in order to achieve performance and production goalsEnsure that established operating procedures are followed for all department functions and processesCollaborate with others to seek out opportunities to brainstorm, improve and reinvent work processesUphold company policies and procedures and deliver company established disciplinary procedures for policy violations and noncompliancePerform administrative duties such as time keeping, attendance calendars, performance reviews and employee forms in an accurate and timely mannerProvide first level support and follow-up for associate suggestions, complaints and concerns.Responsible for ensuring OSHA, CTPAT and other safety compliance within the warehousePerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:Supervises Associates on a daily basis through activities including (but not restricted to) hiring, motivating, delegating, promoting, counseling and coaching, performance appraisals and pay-rate reviews; scheduling and terminationDirect line oversight of hourly associates in the assigned department of the Distribution CenterPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodationsMust have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc).Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., necessary to move cartons of merchandiseQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency3 years of supervisory experience preferredRetail experience (i.e. operations, logistics, retail, supply chain, transportation, and distribution) is a plusBilingual (English/Spanish; English/Creole) is a plusAbility to communicate logically and clearly, both written and verballyComputer skills, including Word, Excel, and database navigational skillsAbility to make data-driven decisionsMust be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirementsSelf-directed, multi-tasking, hands on, and action oriented with the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
