In this dynamic role, the Senior Mechanical Engineer collaborates cross-functionally across manufacturing operations to design, implement, and validate robust lean manufacturing processes that maximize throughput, safety, and equipment performance. This position offers a compelling platform for an innovative technical expert to drive meaningful root-cause problem solving, shape baseline engineering standards, and directly influence overall plant efficiency and output.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, communicate, implement, and validate process enhancements efforts based on customer requirements.Participate in the continuous improvement activitiesWork closely with production, quality, maintenance, and safety to achieve operational goalsContribute to research, development, design, testing, and building electromechanical systems and controlsAnalyze and determine best equipment setup, layout, and process flow for maximizing processes of partsImplement process improvement/development utilizing lean principles.Provide technical support involving the installation of new equipment, modification of existing equipment, repair and maintenance of equipmentIncorporate considerations for safety, environmental, and health in all design workPerform problem-solving, troubleshooting, and expert root cause analysis on all breakdowns to minimize downtimePropose and implement changes to existing processes to streamline and improve overall performanceDevelop and coordinate engineering documents, including revision control, work instructions, maintenance instructions, including safety, environmental, and healthBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering5+ years’ experience in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical manufacturing equipment Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related disciplineHands-on experience with CAD/design software applications and high-speed, high-frequency weldingMechanical inclination with a proven ability to visualize and implement innovative technical solutionsUnderstanding and practical application of Lean principles and Quality System fundamentalsEnglish communication skills to translate complex technical concepts across cross-functional teams and to executive leadershipInterpersonal and leadership capabilities to influence decisions upstream and downstream across the organizationProven track record of effective collaboration with geographically dispersed, culturally diverse teamsSelf-directed self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced design environmentFlexibility to adapt workload and working hours as required by project demandsAdditional informationMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.No visa sponsoring availablePay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
