• Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
• Shift: Days | 3x12-Hour (05:00 - 17:00)
  • Schedule Details: Rotating weekends, holidays, and call rotation as assigned. Blocked scheduling may be accommodated!

Job Description & Unit Details

Join a high-acuity surgical team providing dedicated care during complex cardiothoracic cases. This role operates in a highly critical 1:1 patient environment and requires a seasoned surgical tech who can jump right into open-heart and vascular workflows.

• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Specialty Focus: Cardiothoracic and vascular surgical scrub protocols.
• Charting System: Meditech experience is highly preferred.
• Floating: Clinician must be willing to float within their qualified scope of practice to meet general OR facility needs if census fluctuates.

On-Call Requirements

• Rotation: Rotating call schedule consisting of every other weekend (EOW) plus one designated weeknight per week.
• Response Time: Strict Requirement. Must be physically within a 30-minute radius of the facility at all times while on call.

Requirements

Experience & Certifications

• Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated CVOR / Cardiothoracic scrub experience.
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required).
• Certifications Required: Certified Surgical Technologist ( CST via NBSTSA) and AHA-issued BLS.

Strict Compliance & Submission Rules

• Flu Policy: Strict Mandate. Absolutely no influenza vaccine exemptions will be made for travel staff at this facility.
• Radius Rule: Local travelers are not accepted. Candidates must have a permanent address outside of a 65-mile radius from the facility.
• Submission Details: You must include the candidate's SSN , DOB , and all Requested Time Off (RTO) upfront at the time of submission.
