Donor Gift Processing Assistant
The Donor Gift Processing Assistant plays a key role in maintaining accurate donor records and supporting gift entry, acknowledgments, and general donor communication. This position requires experience in a nonprofit environment, familiarity with Salesforce, and strong attention to detail, especially during high-volume periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage donor inquiries via phone, email, and voicemail; route messages and requests to appropriate team members.
- Enter and reconcile donations, pledges, and gifts (checks, online, etc.) in Salesforce.
- Generate and send donor acknowledgment letters and tribute cards.
- Maintain and update donor records; monitor for duplicates and formatting issues.
- Assist with donor data research and profile updates.
- Track incoming donations and coordinate with finance for reconciliation.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the development team.
- Perform regular database cleanup and ensure accuracy of records.
High-Volume Season Support
- Assist with mail processing, donation logging, and tax receipt preparation.
- Support data entry accuracy checks and generate comparative fundraising reports.
- Review tribute letters, update mailing addresses, and help track matching gifts.
Compliance Support
- Help maintain donor file security and ensure proper gift documentation.
- Adhere to fundraising compliance requirements, including data and reporting standards.
