Base pay range $65.00/hr - $80.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Mission Staffing Our client, a leading asset management firm based in Midtown, NYC, is looking to add a Tax and Compliance professional to their team. This candidate must have at least 6 years of relevant experience and hold a CPA license. This role supports the management company and requires strong expertise in tax compliance for investment funds, including managing external service providers, preparing federal and state tax returns, and overseeing K-1 distributions. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in public/private tax for an alternative investment firm, a strong understanding of alternative investment funds. Candidates must have hands-on experience with K-1s and Form 1120, as well as compliance knowledge related to partnerships, foreign entities, unit holders, equity programs, and carried interest structures. Experience coordinating tax processes and collaborating closely with external auditors is essential. **Please ONLY apply if you have a CPA as that is a requirement for the client** Responsibilities include: Oversee end-to-end tax compliance processes for the management company, including preparation of federal and state tax filings and coordination with external tax providers. Manage the timely and accurate distribution of K-1s and ensure proper reporting of Form 1120 for investment fund entities. Handle complex compliance matters involving partnerships, foreign structures, equity plans, carried interest, and liaise with external auditors as needed.
