Role Definition Implements and continuously improves all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to define critical parameters and develop, implement, and sustain logistics process controls and continuous improvement plans. Establish, maintain, and enforce internal logistics process engineering standards, tools, and best practices across existing and new operations. Analyze logistics workflows and material flow processes, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve process inefficiencies and constraints. Lead material flow and consolidation planning, including ongoing execution to optimize space utilization, capacity, and transportation efficiency. Define and execute short‑ and long‑term strategies to address capacity constraints, such as load consolidation, off‑site inventory management, and establishment of ASRS inventory min/max levels. Support and execute capital purchases required to implement approved logistics and process improvement solutions. Utilize and integrate the local Warehouse Management System (WMS) into overall facility layout and material flow design. Own and execute Plan for Every Part (PFEP), ensuring alignment with material presentation, storage, and replenishment strategies. Develop and manage returnable packaging programs (corporate and supplier), supplier packaging standards, shipment quantities, and transportation requirements. Define and document material presentation standards, including yard layouts, floor presentation, racking configurations, labeling, kitting, Kanban systems, and storage requirements. Create, maintain, and document facility layouts and proposed changes using AutoCAD. Identifies own key assignments, schedules, and process steps. Applies the concept of 'critical path' in order to complete work in a timely manner and keep larger tasks on track. Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Level Working Knowledge: Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives. Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder. Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information. Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution. Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems. Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes. Level Basic Understanding: Interprets process flow diagrams. Explains differences between a process and a project. Identifies process management initiatives in own area.
