Jockey Truck Driver

Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Jockey Truck Driver to join their team. As a Jockey Truck Driver, you will be part of the transportation operations supporting warehouse and yard management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive safety mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Jockey Truck Driver

Location: Rincon, GA

Pay Range: $23

Shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Operate yard jockey trucks to move trailers and equipment within the facility yard safely and efficiently.
• Position trailers at loading and unloading docks according to operational schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of jockey trucks and trailers to ensure safety and compliance.
• Verify trailer numbers and ensure correct equipment is moved to designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and yard activities, and communicate effectively with team members.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or required based on company policy.
• Previous experience operating yard jockey trucks, spotter trucks, or similar equipment is preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and good communication skills.
