You’ll have the opportunity to influence how 600 team members work safely every day, while building programs that truly make a difference. If you enjoy being hands-on, driving change, and developing a strong team, this role offers both visibility and long-term growth within a fast-moving environment. What You'll Do:Lead and continuously improve safety and environmental programs across multiple sites, ensuring a safe, compliant, and proactive workplaceInvestigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive actions that prevent repeat issues and reduce overall riskBuild and deliver training programs that engage employees and strengthen a culture of safety ownership at every levelPartner with leadership to manage compliance, reporting, and emergency response planning while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agenciesDevelop and coach a small team while overseeing workers’ compensation, contractor safety, and key safety-related projectsQualifications/RequirementsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations with hands-on compliance experienceStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organizationPreferred:10+ years of EHS experience, including leadership or team management responsibilitySafety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) and experience leading site-wide safety programsBackground in the spirits, food & beverage, or other regulated manufacturing industriesCulture and BenefitsSazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more.
