Travel Radiologic Technologist

Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Radiologic Technologist to join our nationwide network of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will travel to a variety of hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers across the United States to provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging services that support accurate diagnosis and effective patient care. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols, ensuring proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality. Prepare and verify patient information, explain procedures to patients, alleviate anxiety, and maintain a professional, compassionate bedside manner for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Operate a variety of imaging equipment, including digital and portable X‑ray units, and follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure. Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to prioritize exam workload, communicate critical findings promptly, and ensure smooth patient flow. Set up and maintain exam rooms, verify orders, document procedures in electronic health record systems, and follow each facility’s policies for infection control, patient privacy, and documentation. Adapt quickly to each site’s workflow and equipment across emergency rooms, operating rooms, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and mobile settings. Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills while orienting quickly to new facilities, learning local protocols, and integrating into different teams. Manage travel assignments, including schedule, housing arrangements, and compliance with credentialing and licensure requirements in multiple states as needed. Qualifications Licensed Radiologic Technologist with current credential in the state of practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Adaptable and reliable with a demonstrated ability to work in varied clinical environments. Competent in operating digital and portable X‑ray equipment and adhering to radiation safety standards.
