Salary: State Salary Schedule

Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher from an Institution of Higher Education or 48 semester hours completed toward a degree from an Institution of Higher Education. Applicants must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with students of all ages. Experience with technology is highly recommended. Applicants must hold a valid N. C. Driver's license. Applicants must be eligible to obtain a CDL with school bus endorsements.

Responsibilities: An employee in this class provides support by monitoring and assisting students with their media needs. A wide variety of tasks are performed to support the School Library Media Coordinator in the teaching-learning process for students. The work is directed by specific instructions, precedents and established policy. Problems are solved through the exercise of judgment in selecting the best course of action to be taken. The work is performed under the supervision of the media specialist and/or principal. Other duties as assigned by the teacher or principal.

• Work collaboratively with the media coordinator.
• Competency in routine office duties and procedures such as filing, sorting, organizing, and shelving
• Proficient in grammar and spelling along with basic math skills
• Competency in maintaining and reading manuals, operational documents records, inventory, and accounting; preparing and maintaining accurate records.
• General knowledge of computers and various operating systems (Apple, Google, Microsoft)
• Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time to meet changing job conditions.
