Dishwasher JobReports To: ChefJob Summary: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Major areas of responsibility include keeping the dishwashing area clean and safe, scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes and utensils into dish machines, washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, placing clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas, sorting and removing trash, sweeping or mopping floors, maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition, cleaning garbage cans with water and soap, storing supplies, stocking supplies in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators, transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, cleaning dish machines, performing additional cleaning duties as requested, and maintaining a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers.Requirements: Qualification Standards include dependability, initiative, adaptability/flexibility, stress tolerance, attention to detail, self-control, integrity, cooperation, concern for others, and social orientation. Essential functions include standing for long periods, using both hands and all fingers, repeating the same movements, walking or standing for long periods, seeing details of objects, understanding speech, speaking clearly, using stomach and lower back muscles, keeping hand and arm steady, moving two or more limbs together, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out the body, being physically active for long periods, focusing on one source of sound, hearing sounds and recognizing differences, lifting heavy objects, determining the distance between objects, coordinating movement of several parts of the body, reacting quickly, multitasking different work activities, and being occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and/or heat, and heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
