Senior Applications Engineer

Salary: $114,400 - 120,640 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, QA automation, systems analysis, or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing AI agents and intelligent workflows.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, or conversational AI solutions.
• Strong software engineering practices, including scalable design, testing, documentation, maintainability, and production support.
• Experience with APIs, JSON, application integrations, and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with Azure services, such as Azure DevOps, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI services.
• Salesforce AI experience, including Agentforce and Data Cloud.
• Preferred: Experience delivering AI or digital transformation solutions in financial services.
• Preferred: Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, semantic search, AI observability, or model evaluation tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms.
• Preferred: Programming or scripting experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.
• This is not an entry-level role; substantial hands-on experience and a proven track record of solving business and application development challenges are strongly preferred.

• Develop and enhance AI-enabled applications, agents, and automation workflows.
• Design, test, and refine prompts, system instructions, RAG patterns, and agent orchestration logic.
• Build evaluation frameworks to assess AI output accuracy, relevance, groundedness, safety, and consistency.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, APIs, and data workflows.
• Monitor AI performance, troubleshoot production issues, and recommend improvements to prompts, workflows, or architecture.
• Document AI design decisions, testing approaches, reusable patterns, and operational best practices.
• Quickly understand complex business challenges, develop effective solutions, and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
