About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Estimating and Business Development to take on a pivotal role as the commercial and preconstruction leader. The successful candidate will be tasked with driving strategic growth, overseeing estimating operations, and leading client acquisition and retention efforts. This executive will be a key partner to the CEO and COO, blending technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure profitable growth and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the estimating and business development teams, developing and implementing strategic growth plans, and overseeing bid strategy and proposal development to ensure competitiveness and profitability. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in estimating, business development, or executive management within heavy civil, demolition, or earthwork construction. A proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies, strong background in managing estimating teams, and experience in various construction projects are essential. The role requires expertise in forecasting, pipeline management, and market strategy development, as well as strong financial acumen to link business initiatives to profitability and EBITDA outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-driven, hands-on executive with deep industry experience and a strong ability to lead teams in competitive markets.
