Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse San Francisco, California. The registered nurse provides individualized peri-anesthesia nursing care using the nursing process for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This role requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 4 x 10 days; shift hours are 10, with start times between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM; minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (CA RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA)); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 2 years PACU Registered Nurse (RN) experience (required); fluency with peri-anesthesia nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, and patient assessment; End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience preferably in a high acute care setting; extensive cardiac/cath lab holding room experience; experience with Phase I PACU, peri-anesthesia, and related post-procedural care
• Additional Information: Per contract, weekend coverage and float rotation may be required based on staffing needs and census; orientation hours are 24
