The role requires working with technologists across geographical locations and executing on the technical delivery. This role requires strong expertise in Java and the ability to work with users in building business solutions through agile delivery.Responsibilities:Engineer the capabilities for the Trading platform as per the book of workCode review of development conducted by othersResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Key Skills and Experience:5-8 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis roleExperience in system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsExposure to AI solutions to accelerate developmentSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zonesTechnical Skills:Extensive development experienceTechnical skills in Java, Kafka, SQL, GitFluency in modern CI/CD pipeline and cloud environmentExperience in performing QA, TDD and BDD practicesProven ability to work in high pressure environmentFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zonesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategicallyFamiliarity with agile methodologiesAny Beneficial / Nice to Have Skills and Experiences: Knowledge of Equity Finance / Securities Lending is a plusBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
