Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

Lead and supervise the Stewarding and Housekeeping overnight teams in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followed

* Coach housemen and public area attendant on any discrepancies in their areas

* Submit maintenance reports/requests in Alice and follow up for completion

* Check appearance of all employees to ensure compliance with Fairmont standards of appearance

* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service

* Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned


* Maintain inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware and glassware, order china, glass and silver

* Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained

* Ensure all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and inventoried


* Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair


* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA requirements


* Monitorand control labor costs


* Partner with Hotel Security when handling emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, and systems outages

* Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications:

* 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Food& Beverage or Stewarding


* Previous cleaning experience required


* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities


* Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred


* University/College degree in a related discipline an asset


* Highly responsible & reliable


* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment


* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
