Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist

Duties

Help

  • Performs a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
  • Supervises a staff of logistics functional experts who plan, coordinate and execute district, community field office and school level support for all district student transportation requirements.
  • Serves as the Accountable Property Office (APO) in an assigned District Superintendent's office within DoDEA in Europe, Pacific or the Americas. Serves as the second level reviewer for all DPAS transactions.
  • Develops and implements inventory requirements and reconciles property records with the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) within assigned AOR (area of responsibility).
  • Serves as the District Superintendent's liaison to the designated community student meal food service provider.
  • Coordinates installation level Inter Service Support Agreements (ISSA) in support of the District.

  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities, such as; assigning work to subordinates, evaluating work performance, interviewing candidates for positions or identifying the training needs of employees; coordinating logistical transportation plans; coordinating various logistical programs to include: property accountability, renovation planning, supply purchasing, or equipment life-cycle management; and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the success of logistical programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
