SALES COORDINATOR I - CB & VR - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

STARTING RATE: D.O.E.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 18 years old


JOB SUMMARY :

Assist the Sales Manager in booking group business composed of hotel rooms, which may include meeting space, food and beverage functions, and property activities such as golf or spa while increasing revenues and maximizing the average daily room rate.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

A self-starter with an outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with clients and has excellent written and oral communication skills and telephone etiquette. This person must present a professional appearance. This person must be able handle the stress of multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. This person must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Intermediate computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required and basic knowledge of Delphi and LMS Office is an advantage. A High School Diploma or equivalent is a must.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

1. Assist Sales Manager in creating bookings and producing contracts using various sales computer systems.

1. Create the group folder with supporting documents and paperwork.

1. Answer and return telephone calls for the Sales Manager.

1. Conduct research to help the Sales Manager locate potential prospects for group business.

1. Understand and know all of Mesquite Gaming's properties and amenities.

1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS :

• Meet and greet all clients with a pleasant and friendly attitude via the telephone or in person.

• Listen to the clients needs and communicate the client's requests to the Sales Manager or other departments.

• Provide immediate feedback to the client or deliver a message to the Sales Manager in expedient time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :


The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as typewriters and record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
