Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Location: Kennewick, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. Weekend hours include 2 weekend shifts required in a 2-week pay period.

Job Description: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg. You will be providing high-quality nursing care in a 16-bed unit, focusing on a diverse patient population including geriatrics and adults. Patient ratios are 1:4 with accommodations for higher acuity cases.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient condition, performing EKG and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and titrate according to medical protocols.
• Provide respiratory assessment and support.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg environment.
• Current RN license in Washington state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; ACLS training or equivalent rhythm interpretation course is mandatory.
• Experience with ETOH detox, post-PCI care, DKA/HHS, cardiac conditions, and GI disorders is preferred.
