Registered Nurse LeadThe Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital. This Montana State Hospital (MSH) provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only psychiatric hospital in Montana that services people admitted from communities across the state. Registered Nurse Leads provide assistance and support to clients in maintaining a therapeutic environment. This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating nursing services including providing immediate assistance, consultation and problem solving during crisis and high-risk situations. Coordinates and reviews investigation of unusual incidents, patient grievances, complaints and allegations of abuse; and supervising assigned staff and patient services. Knowledge of nursing, medications, rehabilitation, treatment planning and techniques for psychiatric illnesses. Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgement in emergent hospital setting situations.
