Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer PositionWe are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to assist our industrial and mechanical project teams in the design and implementation of refinery-based mechanical projects.Duties & Responsibilities:Assist with engineering and design of mechanical projects in the Oil and Gas industryCoordinate with disciplines internally and communicate well with engineers, contractors, and outside ClientsRespond to RFI's for the project and accurately review submittalsConduct and attend site visits and prepare site reportsMeet with vendors to determine specification requirements for applicationPerform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projectsAssist in preparation of cost estimatesAssist in creation of project schedules and resourcingProject Manage and lead engineering projects, as requiredAll other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experienceBachelor's Degree from an accredited UniversityProfessional Engineering License preferred, but not requiredProject Management ExperienceKnowledge in PSV sizingProficient in rotating equipment Ability to read and interpret pump / compressor curvesAbility to size pumps and compressorsFamiliar with API seal plansKnowledge in industrial piping Ability to run pipe stress analysis utilizing Caesar II SoftwareAbility to run pipe flow calculationsKnowledge in understanding and interpreting ASME Code for process piping and pressure vessels Ability to run pressure vessel nozzle/re-pad calculationsAutoCAD experience preferred, but not requiredMust be computer literate.Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
