Essential Duties: Learn on the job to become a professional Auto Salesperson Understand that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to all customers Determine each customer’s vehicle needs through use of the Customer Needs Analysis Process Select, present and demonstrate vehicle(s) per the Vehicle Selection, Presentation and Demonstration Process Seek customer agreement to purchase/lease a vehicle per the Customer Agreement Process Deliver new vehicles per the Vehicle Delivery Process Attend all sales meetings Maintain a customer follow-up system as directed by the sales manager that encourages repeat and referral business, and that contributes to customer satisfaction Self-educate as to new products, vehicle features and controls, accessories, etc. and their benefit to customers Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standard for productivity, and develop a strategy to meet those goals Report and review with new vehicle sales manager regarding status towards objectives, planned activities, training, etc. Understand automotive terminology and maintain ongoing product knowledge for our brands and competitive models Know and understand vehicle equity, values, and trade-in options and be able to explain to customers at management direction Introduce all customers to the dealership service and parts department and educate the customer on how to do business there Know and understand all applicable federal, state and local laws governing the sale or lease of a vehicle Other Qualifications: Must have excellent communication, organization, and customer relationship skills Must have an aptitude for the latest in-car technology and telematics, cell phones and iPads Must maintain a professional personal appearance and have the ability to understand and use written, electronic and verbal communications Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving history and be able to drive manual transmission Prior sales experience required Prior automotive sale experience preferred Other Qualifications ( Not required but are a bonus ) Dealership experience Retail sales background Strong customer service skills Proficient in outbound sales techniques Excellent phone etiquette Effective communication skills Familiarity with automotive sales processes Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment Organizational skills for managing inventory and sales tasks Working Conditions: Will work in and around our dealerships, travel to client’s homes and businesses, transport vehicles and work promotional events at off-site locations. Weekends, evenings and occasional holiday hours may be required and are market driven. Benefits / Pay Conditions: $50,000 yr min base on hourly rate of $21/hr and a Schedule of five - 10hour shifts a week - 1 hr a day for lunch = 45hrs a week on the clock. Salespeople will be eligible for commission on TOP of their hourly pay after 90 days!
