Job Description

We are currently hiring a welder with strong fabrication skills for our Jacksonville location. MIG welding is required, while tack welding and fabrication are preferred. TIG welding is considered a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on various metals
• Tack welding and metal fabrication
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Maintain safety and quality standards
• Pass a weld test to demonstrate skill level

Requirements:

• MIG welding experience (required)
• Tack welding and fabrication experience (preferred)
• TIG welding experience (bonus)
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift (M-F)
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Must pass a weld test

Work Environment

The role is based in a smaller open-air shop environment on a first shift schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work is performed primarily in teams, fostering a collaborative and diverse workplace. The setting involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, fabrication machinery such as bandsaws and chopsaws, and other production equipment. The work is physically active and involves handling metal components, operating machinery, and lifting materials weighing 50100 pounds as needed. Travel is part of the role, with approximately three trips per year of about two weeks each to support projects away from the primary shop. Steel-toed boots are required for safety, and individuals performing welding are expected to provide their own welding helmet and related personal welding gear.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
