Class A Driver

POSITION SUMMARY: The truck driver position is responsible driving trucks or tractor-trailers for collection services to ensure that various materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operate heavy commercial trucks, tractor-trailers (including tankers) Perform required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations Maintain and follows all required certifications and safety policies required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs Maintain various records and/or logs as needed per DOT Regulations Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles or informs Driver Lead of maintenance items needing scheduling Wash, lubricate and fuel vehicles Pick recyclable materials from incoming loads Carry out site grounds maintenance including; picking litter, mowing, weed whipping, street sweeping, plowing and dust control.
