Project Engineer - Manufacturing About the Company Our client is a privately held manufacturer specializing in high-performance plastic fasteners and custom hardware components. Founded in 1967, the company provides injection molding, CNC machining, and mold-building services for customers in the aerospace, semiconductor, medical, electronics, and other high-tech industries. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 (based on experience) Benefits Include:

- Lead engineering projects from concept, design, and prototyping through implementation.
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Estimating, Customer Service, Production, and other internal teams.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and outside vendors.
- Oversee bid processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure project specifications are met.
- Track project costs while maintaining quality and budget objectives.
- Research new materials, manufacturing equipment, and production processes.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, documentation, and technical records.
- Ensure product designs meet manufacturability, performance, and feasibility requirements.
- Partner with suppliers on material selection and manufacturing improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of Project Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with plastics manufacturing and/or mold fabrication is preferred.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office (MS Project preferred).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
