This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business. We're hiring a CDL Driver (Class A or B) to safely and efficiently complete time-critical local pickups and deliveries between client sites, World Courier facilities, and area airports. This role is essential to protecting shipment integrity (including cold chain) and delivering an outstanding client experience through accuracy, communication, and on-time performance.

Location: Kearny, NJ 07032

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00am – 7:30pm or 12:00pm - 8:30pm (Home every night)

Compensation: Competitive salary with Full Benefit Package available

Key Responsibilities

• Must have and maintain a current valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
• Must maintain a valid health card as required by the DOT
• Vehicles must be kept clean and supplies organized
• Meeting deadlines for local pick ups and deliveries.
• Following special pick up and delivery instructions.
• Tendering and recovering shipments from the airports.
• Complying with cold chain management instructions.
• Maintaining a daily vehicle log, perform pre-trip inspection and fill out DOT log book and work manifest.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT rules and regulations
• Obtaining shipment damage reports, when necessary.
• Remaining in constant communication with Dispatch department.
• Follow COVID-19 protocols for both World Courier and World Courier Clients.
• Demonstrate the ability to load/unload, secure load, and obey highway traffic regulations.
• Must be willing to travel to any and all sites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary).
• Must be available for some overtime as some of the driving distances cannot be handled in a typical 8 hour work day.
• Continually lifting, lowering, and sliding packages weighing 25 to 70 lbs. Drivers are required to be physically fit.
• Schedule will be M-TH 12:30 - 21:00 and Sunday 0600 - 1400

Skills and Experience required

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
• General driving knowledge of the airports and area
• Dangerous Goods training
• TSA training
• Cold chain training
• Live animal handling
• Professional demeanor.
• Temperature monitor training
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.

Required (Driving Record):

• No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in the past 12 months.
• No "major convictions" within the last 5 years, including:
• Driving while intoxicated or "under the influence" (DWI/DUI)
• Leaving the scene of an accident
• Careless or reckless driving violations
• Homicide or assault through the use of a motor vehicle
• Attempting to elude a police officer
• Suspended or revoked license, or 3 or more license suspensions in the past (per policy)

Salary Range*

$51,500 - 73,700

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
