This role is accountable for translating global demand and supply plans into executable production schedules, ensuring material readiness, and driving disciplined factory execution.Acting as the on-site execution control tower, this role ensures alignment between Global Planning, Fulfillment, Procurement, and Manufacturing, enabling on-time delivery, optimized inventory, and stable production operations.Key Responsibilities1. Site Production Planning & ExecutionOwn daily, weekly, and short-term production planning for the Palo Alto siteEnsure alignment with MPS, demand priorities, and material availabilityDrive execution against clear-to-build, clear-to-pick, and clear-to-ship horizonsLead daily production cadence reviews and schedule adherence governance2. Factory Floor Control & Order ExecutionOversee production order lifecycle (release, sequencing, execution, closure)Ensure accurate system execution in SAP (order status, confirmations, dates)Manage rework flows, production disruptions, and WIP movementDrive resolution of production issues impacting throughput and delivery3. Material Readiness & Shortage ManagementEnsure production plans are fully supported by material availabilityLead escalation and resolution of material shortages impacting productionPartner closely with Procurement and Global Planning to mitigate supply riskExecute prioritization and allocation decisions when constraints arise4. Inventory & WIP ControlManage WIP, sub-assemblies, and finished goods inventory for the siteMaintain optimal balance between throughput, service level, and inventoryReduce excess & obsolete (E&O) through disciplined execution and planning alignmentImprove inventory transparency and traceability across production stages5. Cross-Functional Execution AlignmentServe as the primary interface between:Manufacturing / Operations (capacity, execution)Global Planning (MPS, inventory strategy)Fulfillment (delivery commitments, backlog prioritization)Engineering (ECN readiness and cut-in)Ensure rapid identification and escalation of risks impacting customer deliveryLead site-level control tower reviews and cross-functional alignment forums6. Performance Management & KPI OwnershipOwn and drive performance against site-level operational KPIs:Schedule adherence / attainmentProduction throughput and cycle timeClear-to-build / clear-to-ship performanceBacklog and past-due reductionWIP and inventory levelsOn-time delivery to customer request date7.
