About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 7-10 Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Preferred 5+ years; 3+ years acceptable License: RN licensure required in Tennessee Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Patient care of all ages Bedside shift report IV access Description: Rapid response role available. Candidates must be available to start 7-10 days from offer acceptance. This position involves detox, but emergency room experience will be considered. Must have experience with CIWA/COWS. The unit provides care for a patient population ages 18 to geriatric. The number of beds in the unit is 13 with patient ratios of 1:7. Common diagnoses include substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, ETOH, and underlying behavioral conditions. Treatments vary with use and may include valium tapers, subutex, vivitrol, and other medications. Ability to assist with bedside procedures such as picc lines/midlines is preferred. A willingness to learn and work collaboratively with the team is essential. Must respect department expectations and follow established protocols. Calmness in chaotic situations and confidence in clinical judgment are required. A commitment to improving processes and supporting staff is essential. Education requirements to be completed during the contract. The dress code includes wearing scrubs in any solid color with specific limitations on attire. Candidates should exhibit professionalism and adhere to hospital standards.
