About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, IV Certification for LVNs Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Backfill contract for RN in Medical-Surgical. Telemetry experience required; no call required. Unit comprises 30 beds with a staff of 60. Day shift includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). Night shift includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, and 3 PCTs. Patient ratio is 1:5. Type of equipment utilized includes Welch Allyn Vital Sign monitors, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitters, Telepsych, and Teleneuro. Emphasis on NIH Stroke protocols, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care procedures. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented and self-motivated. Scrub color requirement is navy. Hoop nose piercings are not allowed. Unit guidelines and policies will be provided upon start date. Recognition for staff is based on patient feedback.
