Service Weld Technical Supervisor

This person will provide day-to-day; leadership, technical support, and supervision in the achievement of productivity, schedule attainment, quality and Employee Health Safety programs in the Service Weld department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coach and support area of responsibility Daily communication and coordination with teams, other supervisors, and departments. Direct work assignments in accordance with the production schedule Plans and organizes activities of the production/assembly line to meet production deadlines. Monitor housekeeping (5 pillars) with emphasis on 5s. Participate in VIP to maximize production efficiency, improve technology, and correct safety issues. Ensure compliance to environmental, productivity, quality and health & safety standards. Prepare department budget including material, manpower, equipment and outside procurement costs, and operates within approved parameters. Enforce policies and procedures and apply disciplinary action as needed Prepare and maintain production reports and records- taking corrective action when necessary Coordinate departmental maintenance and engineering needs Responsible for inventory analysis Work directly with department scheduler Order and purchase necessary equipment or materials for assembly or production. Responsible for development, preventative maintenance, and hands on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment Owner of labor standards, process changes, equipment condition and related documentation Communicate with supervisors from other departments to coordinate movement of service weld materials Directs and guides technical team members in operations Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect cost, operator safety, productivity and quality. Oversees work cell development and material flow improvement. Participate in PCI process Process purchase requisitions and records as required Maintain and continuously improve systems to catalogue tooling and track tooling usage Other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical engineering degree preferred, or relevant experience MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years of industry experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Outstanding leadership, influence and communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in a team environment Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple operations High integrity WORKING CONDITIONS: Fast-paced manufacturing environment. #LI-NT1 To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
