Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Travel Assignment

Location: Walnut Creek, CA 94598
Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift : 12H Night (07:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
Hours : 36 Hours/Week
Rotation : No
Float : Yes – Travelers may float to Mother Baby and could float to 1–2 units during a 12-hour shift. Travelers float first.
Work Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Labor & Delivery Unit

Gross Weekly Pay: $3,521/week
Blended Rate: $97.81/hr

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a high-acuity L&D unit handling approximately 240 deliveries per month. The RN must be comfortable caring for high-risk pregnancies, performing vaginal exams, fetal heart monitoring, MgSO4 infusions, and circulating in the OR for C-sections. This role requires strong autonomous clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years recent strong Labor & Delivery experience
• Active California RN License required
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Assessment certifications required
• Must be autonomous and comfortable performing vaginal exams
• Strong fetal heart monitoring experience required
• Comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies and OB emergencies
• Experience with MgSO4 infusions, placenta previa, twins, lupus, maternal cardiac history, IDDM, and C-sections
• Must be willing to float as needed
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
